I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
